DSM Marathon Week 5 update

Week 5- July 19-25:
Monday - rest
Tuesday - 3.0 mi run
Wednesday - 7 mi run
Thursday - 5 mi run
Friday - rest
Saturday - 11 mi bike
Sunday - 16 mi run (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/41760123)
Pretty much right on the program suggestions. Sunday felt great, especially last 3 miles.
DSM Marathon Week 4 update

Week 4- July 12-18:
Monday - rest
Tuesday - 2.25 mi run
Wednesday - 5 mi run
Thursday - 6.5 mi run
Friday - rest
Saturday - 3.1 mi run (Solon Beef Day 5k) - 15 mi mt. bike too
Sunday - 14 mi run
Still on track per plan. Saturday was all bonus mileage.

DSM Marathon Week 3 update

Week 3- July 5-11:
Monday - rest (8hrs of tiling-lol)
Tuesday - rest
Wednesday - 4.2 mi run
Thursday - 6.5 mi run
Friday - 6 miles on bike
Saturday - 3.1 mi run (Tiffin 5k)
Sunday - 10 mi run
Ran about an extra 1.5 miles beyond training plan this week. Still on track.

DSM Marathon Week 2 update

Week 2- June 28:
Monday - 15 miles on mt bike
Tuesday - 2.1 mi run
Wednesday - 2.1 mi run and 13 miles on mt bike
Thursday - 6.5 mi run
Friday - rest
Saturday - 8 mi run
Sunday - rest
About 1.5 miles behind on total weekly running mileage. But I added 2 mt bike rides.
Des Moines Marathon is on!!!!

I need something to train for, so this is it. It's Oct 17th, less then 4 months away. I am going to use the 4 month training plan posted on DSM marathon site, with some modifications.
