Here is a list of some of the races in which the Trihawks members compete. Be sure to check out the Triathlon Reviews Forum to see Trihawks and other local athletes' descriptions of their experiences with these races and others in the area.

Local Races Presented by the Trihawks

The triathlon team hosts two races in the Iowa City / Coralville area each year. The proceeds from these races are used by the team to promote the multi-sport lifestyle and offset travel costs to the USAT Collegiate National Championship.

  • Trihawks Triathlon

    The Trihawks host an annual Sprint distance triathlon in the Coralville Reservoir in early September. 2010 is the sixth year of this race and it promises to be our best race yet! Our race also serves as the championship for the Heart of America Triathlon Series. Come and join us for this fun and exciting race.

  • Trihawks 5K Run / Walk

    2010 is the third year that the Trihawks are hosting an early season 5K Run / Walk to help raise our team's profile and promote an active lifestyle, and raise money for a good cause. At this race you will get a chance to meet members of the team and find out more about the sport of triathlon. New this year we will be adding a 10k distance to the race!

  • Triathlon Workshop 2009

    Back for the second year, we will hold a workshop for triathletes of all skill levels at the Coralville Reservoir just as it was last year.
